In the course of writing and speaking about her book, Cereal for Dinner, Kristine has met hundreds of women with a wide range of conditions, diseases and ailments. While their symptoms and prognoses differ, there is one overriding thing that bonds them all together -- their acute awareness of how hard it is to take care of yourself when you are a Mom.

Kristine also learned that this situation is by no means uncommon. Her research revealed that at any given moment in the U.S., 25 million women under the age of 55 are simultanteously battling a serious or chronic illness while trying to raise a family.

For women like this, and those that love them, Kristine has compiled a list of resources to help during this difficult time. The list below points women in the right direction whether they are looking for information about a specific condition, advice about how to help their kids understand their illness, or suggestions of books to read from authors who understand. This list is by no means exhaustive and is not meant to substitute input from your doctor. Instead, treat it like a grab-bag of helpful hints from a well-read friend who always seems to know what's on the bestseller list and which show is the hottest ticket in town. Scan and peruse it. See what strikes your fancy or meets your needs -- and let me know if there's anything you'd like to add by emailing me at kb@kristinebreese.com.
